10. farm animals are more common along the side of the street
than mailboxes are in the states. pigs…cows…goats…
carabao…and they are so unaffected by the traffic passing at
70+ mph that it makes me nervous for them. another note on
the filipino animal kingdom: i have seen pigs, cows, goats,
carabao, and even chickens on leashes but have yet to see a
dog on one.

7. most common question asked – regardless of if someone
knows us or is meeting us for the first time: “are you single?”
they then follow that up with…”so you are available,
approachable, negotiable?” um, not so much…

6. 9 times out of 10 your dinner comes on a stick…and if not, it’s been
cooked whole and is looking at you. 10 times out of 10, it tastes
amazing.

1. becky found me a pumpkin spice latte! after searching high and
low in three countries, we found the latte and running shorts in
our beloved bohol! as long as i don’t have too many lattes, the
running shorts will still be used for exercise and not latte
maintenance.
