There are just sometimes in my life (I wish they were more often) that I am just completely and overwhelmingly blown away by the beauty and goodness of our God. If I could say anything about Nicaragua and where I am in my walk with Lord right now, that would be it. I want to shout from the rooftops, “I LOVE YOU LORD!” I want to sit and whisper to the clouds, “You alone are worthy of my praise.” God has given me a gift here in this country. The people are incredible. They are so kind and so full of life. I don’t feel worthy of the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon me here.

I get to be in a beautiful country with wide open blue skies that go on for miles, palms trees blowing in the breeze, and precious children. I know we have been with precious children everywhere, but the Lord has given me the ability to communicate better with them here because I can speak a little bit of spanish. It’s a gift and a connection that I havn’t had in other countries.

The worship is so full of life and love for the lord. The men we work with on construction are so kind and patient. They share their lives with us and we get to share ours with them. They even patiently endure our (or more specifically my) lack of construction knowledge, and teach us as we go.

We work hard all day, and then in the afternoons, we play and/or watch baseball with the kids from the orphanage and the men who work construction with us. God has just showered me with love here. Every afternoon, as I sit on our front porch watching a baseball game in our front yard, and think about my life, all I can say is, “Thank you God for loving me so much. I want everyone to know you like this.”
