I dare to say everybody has dreams and wishes deep down inside. Some people are brave enough to voice their dreams and wishes. Many people don’t say their dreams or wishes because they have fear that their dream will never happen.
Harriet Tubman said, “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” Last October my dream became to go on the World Race! I didn’t tell many people at first because I didn’t want it to be something I just talked about and never did. I began taking small steps to make this dream happen. Then at the beginning of summer my dream started become a reality as I met my first fundraising deadline to go to Training Camp, then there was enough money in my account to Launch and actually go on the World Race.
Since the beginning of July there had been a lull in money being donated to my account. After three weeks I was beginning to worry so I tried to plan a couple fundraisers and for one reason or another each fell through. I soon realized God was growing my trust in Him. I couldn’t “raise” the money; I had to trust God to bring in the money. So my “Birthday Wish” was to be fully funded before I left for the World Race. I still needed $7,000 which seemed like a lot to me, but I kept reminding myself that God would bring in each dollar. After a couple days of thinking about my “Birthday Wish” I finally made it known publicly.
Such a big wish to play a part in my dream. I was blown away with how God orchestrated each cent! $670 was deposited into my account online, $1,120 was mailed into my account bringing my current total to $9, 815 🙂 THANKS to all who donated to bring me closer to my “Birthday Wish” of being fully funded before I launch. People have pledged a total $3,160 in monthly donations which will bring my total to $12,975. What does all this mean??? It means I am blessed and God is providing! I only have $3,279.35 left to “raise”.
If I can leave you with one bit of advice, it would be to always dream and wish. But don’t just dream and wish! Take action on your dreams and watch them become reality. Trust God to help you along the way and make the path to your dream a reality.
