This post has been in the works for a while and will continue to be in the works as God reveals to me what needs changed.
1. Never before have I seen Christians with such big smiles revealing the joy of the Lord that they carry. The joy of the Lord has been so evident in the faces of our hosts, but it’s especially evident this month in Malaysia. There is always a smile, not just a smile because they are supposed to smile or because they don’t know what to say or what was said, but a smile that reveals the pure joy of the Lord which you can tell gives strength to their day even when things don’t go as planned. Shame on me for not always having a contagious smile that shows the joy of the Lord which gives me strength each day.
2. I’m amazed by the amount of ‘blessings’ we have received recently. Waking up I the morning and breakfast has been dropped off because someone wanted to bless us is an amazing feeling that reminds me that God always provides. Christians here are always giving what they have to bless others and show God’s love. Can you imagine what would happen if all Christians put this into practice everyday? Shame on me for not blessings others more often.
3. Door to door ministry has been some what common on the Race. One day in particular in Honduras left me full of shame and that is when we came across a man who had never before heard about God. I felt honored that God chose us to share His love, but I realized you never know which of your neighbors may not know about God’s true love. Shame on me for not witnessing more to people.
