It’s so funny because I love to blog and tend to blog more than any of my other teammates, but right now it’s hard. Maybe it is because this has been a slow month. Maybe it’s because I was down and out with food poisoning for 4 days. Maybe it’s because life is crazy back home. I really don’t know why, but any way you look at it I’ve been lacking inspiration.

What I’ve learned this month is that no matter how I feel, God is still good. No matter what news I receive, God is still faithful. No matter how tired or exhausted or sick might be, God still loves me with more love than I can fathom.

One thing I was inspired to write this month was a poem. I’ve not written poems in a long time, but I used to write them all the time. So I will leave you with the poem I wrote ‘Give Me a Song to Sing.’

I know it might be a weird question
I’m not sure it’s even allowed

But can you please
Give me a song to sing

Too much bad news.
Not enough good

But can you please
Give me a song to sing

I just need something good
I need a song in my heart

But can you please
Give me a song to sing

A song to keep going
A joyous melody to fill my spirit

But can you please
Give me a song to sing

My soul is weak
My spirit is crying

But can you please
Give me a song to sing

Let it rise within me
Full of hope and peace

But can you please
Give me a song to sing

Let it be filled with power
Let it change the atmosphere
