Since I was a kid I’ve always been told about God’s love and experienced it day in and day out. About 6 years ago, the truths that God is good and God is faithful in everything became promises I would hold to and see come true time and time again when life didn’t always go the way that I thought it should. God has been faithful to show me His love, mercy, grace, and goodness when I didn’t deserve it.
As I began sending out sponsor letters and asking people to give so I could go on an 11 month mission trip, I knew God had called me and He would be faithful to see me through and ensure the finances would come in. Not only am I once again seeing the faithfulness of God, but I’m also see the faithfulness of His people! About 3 weeks ago I finished packing up my classroom and turned in my keys, this was hard to do because I was leaving a job I loved very much. But I knew God was calling me to the mission field and He once again affirmed that. Before I was out to the parking lot after turning in my works keys, there was an e-mail sent to me from World Race about a supporter trying to get in contact with me. I called them on my way to camp meeting that night and we chatted and caught up and they shared with me their heart for missions and how they think what I am doing is awesome. They ended the conversation by telling me their business would be sending in a sizable donation. Not only was I left amazed about God’s perfect timing, but I was also amazed once again about God’s faithfulness and more so the faithfulness of His people!
Now, I’m 40% funded! I surpassed the June 28th deadline! I’m only $785 away from the August 18th deadline 🙂
