My heart is so full and I just had to take a moment to say thank you to you!
1 Corinthians 12:12 says, “For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.” This verse has come to life for me, in preparing for this trip. I’ve seen that when our gifts work together, we have the power to overcome obstacles that once seemed impossible. When are our gifts work towards a united goal, amazing things happen. This trip would not be possible without each of you, so thank you!
Thank you to those who encouraged me to pursue this missions trip from the start, and continue to encourage me when doubt or fears creep in.
Thank you to my financial supporters. Thank you for your for your generosity and entrusting me to be a good steward of God’s provisions.
Thank you to those with the gift of prophecy, for speaking truth into my life and keeping me in tune with God’s promises.
Thank you to those who were compassionate, letting me share my emotions and put up with my tears.
Thank you to my accountability partners. Without you, I’d still be trying to decided on whether or not I go through with this!
A special thank you to my prayer warriors. For covering me in prayer for God’s protection, praying with me for funds, for praying on my behalf when I didn’t know what to say.
My words here cannot fully express how grateful I am to each of you supporting me. I praise God for our gifts working together to make this journey possible! I have met my first fundraising goal and am able to go to training next week. My next goal is to raise $10,000 by the end of September.
In addition to fundraising, I do have a couple prayer requests:
- At training I’ll be meeting my squad (the people I’ll be spending the next 11 months overseas with). We’ve already been chatting via text, but please pray for team unity and that we would build relationships with one another.
- Please pray for my emotions. This Friday is my last day of work and it’s finally sinking in that my life is about to change, for reals!
I’m going to miss this place, but I’m excited for what’s to come.
