Hello my faithful friends and supporters! It’s been a little while since you’ve last heard from me and I wanted to give you an update about what’s been going on in my life.
I’ve been home from the Race for over four months now which feels crazy long and like the blink of an eye all at once. In that time, I’ve been able to spend some time with friends and family, travel, experience a real winter, see some World Race friends and get back into the swing of life at Starbucks. Being home has been interesting but good. It’s been challenging in some surprising ways and more of a breeze in areas that I thought might be difficult. Above all, I believe that it’s been right.
I’m excited to share about an upcoming opportunity that I have called Kingdom Journeys. Kingdom Journeys is a program through Adventures in Missions specifically for World Race Alumni to walk out the calling of God on their lives. On the Race, God worked on me in a plethora of ways but one of the biggest themes for me was identity. I learned so much about my value as a daughter of the creator of the universe and a passion deepened in me to see others walk out the truth of their God-given identity.
As a part of this team, I will travel with five other women to three countries spending two months in each location. Our mission will be to proclaim freedom and redemption to our sisters around the world. We will reach out to widows, former prostitutes, the abused, abandoned and overlooked. We will invite them to “Beauty for Ashes Retreats” where we will empower them to experience God’s restoration and hope through storytelling and community. (Click here to learn more about the Retreats themselves.) Or, watch this video from Team One that launched last January!

The faithfulness of the Lord has simply blown me away as I’ve walked along the path of applying to this program. Over and over he’s revealed what an amazing fit this is and how well it lines up with who I am and what I want to be about. In each interview and conversation, there were multiple moments of confirmation and “yes” in my spirit. But I have to be honest with you. The thought of leaving again is a little bit scary. I hate the idea of fundraising again and there’s something about another “trip” that just feels unsettled and irresponsible. There’s a piece of me that’s ready to put down roots and have all of my belongings in one spot and to not have to change my address anymore for a couple of years. But there’s also a small voice that whispers, “Come, follow me.” and it’s quiet but powerful. Above all, it’s trustworthy and wants the very best for me. I believe that this is the next step for me and I’m thrilled to see how God moves through it.
Now that you know what’s coming, I have a couple of requests for you. First, would you please pray for me? This preparation process has been challenging so far and there is still a long road ahead. I believe that prayers have power though and are an incredible tool against the enemy.
Second, would you consider financially supporting me through this endeavor? In total, I have committed to raising $12,000 and my first financial deadline is $3,000 by April 30th. You can donate through my World Race Blog (here!) by clicking the “Support Me” link next to my picture. You can also mail a support check directly to:

Just make sure to put my full name in the memo line of the check.
I’m incredibly excited about this next stage of my journey and cannot wait to share more of it with you! I will be posting updates here as I prepare to launch in June and will keep this blog updated throughout Kingdom Journeys.
