Brothers, pray for us.
-1 Thessalonians 5:25
Friends,
I have something to ask of you that is of very great importance to me:
Will YOU join me on The World Race?
God is definitely leading this journey, but there is a role for each of us, if we are willing to fulfill it. Prayer is the single most important way to prepare for this journey each and every day, every step of the way. Therefore, I am asking you to join me.
Will you join me in praying for this journey every day from now until I return home?
Will you commit to lifting my team and myself up in prayer continually that God's will be done in us and through us in each and every circumstance we face?
Will you commit to pray fervently that God will give us the words to speak and the wisdom to act in each and every interaction we have along the way?
Will you commit to pray continually for unity among our team, that we will bond well in order to love well and serve well?
Will you commit to pray for God to meet the needs of myself, my team and those we face in the communities we will become a part of along the way?
Will you commit to pray specifically as I am able to communicate requests with you along the way?
Will you commit to even pray in such a way that gives God the opportunity to guide you in how to better pray for myself and my team and even the communities we will get to know and love?
Will you join me on this journey and get to know more deeply the God who hears our prayers and responds?
And Isaac prayed to the LORD for his wife, …. And the LORD granted his prayer….
-Genesis 25:21
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.
-Luke 18:1
I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf
-Romans 15:30
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people
-1 Timothy 2:1
…The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.
-James 5:16-18
Let's go into this together; I cannot go alone. If God is stirring in your heart to be among a team of people who commit to pray daily, please send me a message so I know who I can relay prayer requests to. I am really looking forward to seeing how God answers our prayers throughout this journey; I hope you are too!
May the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Heather
