Alright guys, so as a part of my fundraising scheme I figured it would be fun to get you all involved!
It would cost you approximately $1600 to travel to Uganda to get something authentic, OR you can support me and be entered to win something unique that I’ll send right to your doorstep!
So here’s the deal:
Everyone that financially supports me between now and next Tuesday the 26th will have their name put in to a raffle to win one of these 3 items that were just purchased with you in mind! (actually, if you’ve donated in the past 2 weeks since I sent out my initial need for funds, I’ll go ahead and include you!)
The items that you are entered to win include:
Hand carved and painted giraffe (plant not included)
Magazine Bead Necklace ~ the women here put a lot of work into making these beautiful necklaces, each bead is hand rolled from magazines (the necklace is one strand, so you can wear it multiple ways!)
African Painting (it’s pretty self explanatory)
Here’s the break down for each donation:
$25– 1 entry
$50– 2 entries
$100– 5 entries
Want me to pick something out especially for you? Anyone that supports me $500 or more can choose which you would prefer- a carved animal, a necklace, or a painting and I’ll go buy it for you! Seriously, how many people have a personal shopper in Africa?!?
Just think about it this way-
With one donation you can:
- Support me and help me stay on the field
- Get a tax deduction
- Have a chance to win something awesome from Africa
- And… as soon as I have the funds that I need I’ll get back to sharing fun stories about my journey and stop asking for your financial help!
Items will be shipped from Uganda sometime before I leave =)
*All of the information to support me is on the side tab under Support Me! and will walk you through donating online or through the mail (larger donations are better to go through the mail as there is a 3-5% processing fee for donations made with a card).
*It can take a few days for donations to go through so to help me keep track of everything please e-mail me whenever you submit your donation and let me know the amount (if you are donating $500 or more also include in your e-mail what category you would like your African gift to be from!). This allows me to be in contact with my support coach stateside and let them know when I reach my goal because I have to have another $1,620 in my support account by October 30th for me to stay on the race!
