Here are some things I learned last week:

1. Don't promise to blog every day.  It doesn't work and if you miss one day you're way more apt to just keep missing days.

2.  I love that  the Spirit spontaneously leads me to a passages that speak directly to me.

2a.  That said, I'm much more comfortable reading the Bible on a plan that gives me something to check off rather than sporadically figuring it out on my own.

3. I need time with the LORD every. single. day.

4. The Enemy is out for my heart, for my soul, for my strength.  It's a literal, physical, emotional battle.  It's visceral.  It's painful.  It's full of fear and doubt and a choking feeling around my throat.  It makes my head cloudy and thoughts muddled.  It's like walking underwater looking up.

4a.  The Enemy cannot have me.  I BELONG to the LORD.

But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
