The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
-John 1:5

Three nights a week we go out to the red light district to do bar ministry. We talk to the women working there and build trusting relationships. We get to show the love of Christ through our actions and bring them hope. During the day, we do a prayer walk on this street before going out at night. We have a few people go out and a few people stay back to intercede for those going out. We are already seeing growing relationships with the women as God works in their hearts.

Mykal, one of my teammates playing with the children during slum ministry. We get the opportunity to do this ministry a few afternoons a week and show them the love of God.

A few afternoons each week we go to the local temples to chat with monks. It has given us an opportunity to learn more about their beliefs while also opening doors to share the gospel with them. The monks are not allowed to touch women, so that’s the reason there’s a large gap in the picture.

We serve in Zion Cafe’ in the mornings and some afternoons. It’s a coffee shop and also a hostel where we are staying. We get the opportunity to build friendships with the women working here.
