This month we are serving at a home for visually impaired children and adults. St. Nicholas home is in Penang, Malaysia and has been operating since 1926. I’ve been taking pictures this month for the organizations promotional/brochures they mail out to potential donors.

Joy and Elizabeth working in the office. We have been spending a lot of time with these two women this month. We’ve enjoyed taking them to the mall, out to eat and just hanging out talking with them.

Some of the trainee’s at the home are learning how to use and type on the computer. The course they are enrolled in is 6 months long. Some of the students are low vision and some are completely blind.

The trainee’s are able to learn different skills that will help them learn a trade and earn an income. This student is learning how to make baskets.

The pastry training center is one of the different vocational training programs.
