Dear Family and Friends,

I hope you are doing well!  I am doing wonderful; just graduated from Longwood and beginning the next stage in my life.

As some of you know in December of 2006 I had the chance to go to Atlanta and attend the Passion Conference.  While I was there the Lord really placed on my heart to become active in Missions.  The verse that stuck with me the most was Isaiah 6:8, which says; Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”  I then found my first opportunity to become active in missions when I went to Jamaica last December.  Well the Lord has given me another opportunity to expand His kingdom.  I applied and was accepted to be a part of The World Race through Adventures In Missions.  I will be leaving in August of 2009.  Through this program I will get to minister in places aching with hunger for the gospel.  During this trip, I will be discipled and trained in various areas of ministry and missions.

I’m so thankful for this opportunity set before me and I know God will meet my needs.  Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that through you.  I need both prayer and financial support and would be honored if you would partner with me through this ministry.  I am specifically asking for five people who will commit to pray for me each day until I return.  Also, I must raise $16,000 for the year that goes directly to AIM.  This will cover all my expenses while on the field.

I am very excited about how God will use me and what He will teach me through this experience.  I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you.  My desire is to go as your representative of Jesus Christ.  I hope you will prayerfully consider being part of my ministry.  Thank you so much!

Under His Mercy,

Heather Dodge

“It is not for you to know the times of the dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth”

Acts 1:7-8
