Today the teams are
splitting up. Our two teams have been
split into different groups. One team is
staying here in Szekesfehervar, Hungary and the other team is heading to Gyor. Myself along with, Tres, Bethany, Birkleigh,
Paul, Ashley Higgins, and Daina will be staying in Szekesfehervar. Bambi, Nicole, Ralph, Denise, Michael, Ashley
Weaver, and Lindsay will be heading to Gyor. This is both really exciting but also very sad. I knew the day would come when teams would be
split, but I was expecting it until squad leaders are pulled up. And although this is only for a week, I’m
definitely going to miss the Gyor team.
My group will be
staying in Szekesfehervar to finish looking for contacts and looking into other ministry
opportunities. We will be going to
orphanages, jails and the university to see if there is anyway that a team of
seven would be able to come in and help. We will be staying at the church we contacted with the pastor and youth
pastor’s families. We have been blessed
with free housing and free basic food. We will also be attending a youth conference from the 16-18. I will be posing a blog after the youth
conference about the youth here. They
have impacted me so much and I can’t wait to share with everyone what I’ve
learned from them and the fire they’ve sparked in me.
