- Tent City. One of my favorite parts of launch was
seeing 83 tents on one green patch of land. If you have not checked out Cribs Launch
be sure to check it out for more details! -
Ireland Beer. Our goal at training camp as a team was
to try a beer in every country. Well I failed because I couldn’t get the guts to actually taste it
but hats off to Ralph, Bethany, Birkleigh, Tres, and Bambi! Maybe next month I’ll try! - Leprechaun’s. Alex this is for you. Sadly I was not able to find any real
leprechan’s but as part of our race we had to find a leprechaun hat and
wear it in every picture and well Nicole just happened to enjoy wearing
it.
- Fashion Statements. During our first day in Ireland us girls
decided to start a fashion statement. I think the picture talks for itself!
- Destiny Island. The first
week of ministry while in Ireland was working with kids camp at the
Vineyard church. This was by far my
favorite part of this month! I love
kids and these kids melted my heart with their child-like faith that I
desire to have, as well as their super cute accents! (pictures to come later)
- Sugar Highs. On our way home from enjoying a dinner
out during launch we stopped at Tesco, the grocery story, and bought some
ice cream. We got a serious sugar
high eating our ice cream while walking home.
- Cookout. The children’s minister at the Vineyard
church invited us to a cookout at his house. I really enjoyed the time and being able
to spend just a little more time with some of the awesome people we’ve
gotten to serve alongside of this past month. - Family Dinners. This month the four teams living
together gathered every night for dinner. It was great to enjoy the community and be among so many at one
time because this probably wont happy very often! - J vs K Kickball game. On our last night at launch we played a
giant game of kickball. J vs K
squad…probably on the top of my lists of best times playing kickball!! My
favorite part of the game is ! when I totally wiped out!! I was going to catch a ball and slipped,
when I slipped I kicked the ball and tried to catch it that way…but no
success. Everyone got a big kick
out of my wipe out!
- Laundry…World Race
style. This will be a typical
sight! On our last night at Launch
we decided to do some laundry. Well
the dryer broke meaning we had to hang dry our clothes. This is what it looked like. And because it’s so cold in Ireland out
clothes didn’t dry!
- Days off. The past couple days we’ve been lucky to
enjoy a few days off! Our first day
off we spent in Port Rush one of the local towns. We got to go to the beach, and even
though it was cold I put my feet in the water. Really wanted to go surfing but it
didn’t work out this month. On our
second day off we went to see Giant’s Causeway and a few other things. (more pictures coming later)
So this is yet another idea for a
blog that I got from my friend Bekah. Every month I plan to post a blog with pictures and accounts of my
favorite things from the month…it may or may not be ten but it will be close
to Ten. So with further ado my top ten
from Ireland…in no particular order!

- Birkleigh and her old
people. Birkleight loves old
people. And she loves squeezing
their faces. Now they don’t really
enjoy it back. But here is the
first old man that was taken victim to Birkleigh, he actually asked her to
stop squeezing his face!
- Internet cafés. This months Internet café was either
Subway or Ground Coffee. I often
found myself at Subway because I can’t seem to get a connection at Ground. At Subway one of the employ’s quickly
became a lifesaver as he continualy reset the internet for me when I
couldn’t get connected. Thanks
Steven!
