Ok before you get
carried away, crack in Ireland means a good time.  I want to tell you about all the crack I’ve
been enjoying.  Sunday we arrived to
Coleraine, Ireland it was a beautiful sunny day.  We were given our room assignments and began
making ourselves at home.  Sunday we
spent time in worship and found out very limited details about what we would be
doing for the next week.  Monday, after
worship we headed to the Vineyard church where we found out more details about
out 2 weeks of ministry.  We have a lot
of ministry planned, and it’s a little overwhelming, but for the most part it’s
been pretty great.

In the mornings we’ve been doing VBS (kids
ministry), the theme was destiny island.
It’s been really great getting to work with kids at the beginning of our
ministry time because I definitely miss my preschoolers.  Each afternoon we’ve been doing street
evangelism.  Tuesday we scrubbed toilets
at local businesses, Wednesday we handed out flyers for a free bag of food to a
lower income community, Thursday we handed out free energy saving light bulbs
to another lower income community, Today we took surveys and handed out
lollipops (however I was not part of this because I had to stay back to start
getting dinner ready).  Wednesday and
Thursday evening we also had ministry.
Wednesday we went to a assisted living home where we just spent time
talking to the people who live there.  On
Thursday we helped set up and then got to enjoy an evening service at the
Vineyard church.  Tonight we will be
doing an ATL, which will be interesting to see where we are told to go because
everything but the pubs close down at 6, and we’ve been informed by our
contacts to not go into any pubs in the area because of the continuing debate
between the Catholics and Protestants, but I’ll be sure to write about it when
it’s finished.

I think the most
crack I’ve enjoyed though has been our community time.  The 4 teams living here have been doing
dinners together every night.  One team
member from each team has been cooking and then we all eat together.  It’s been quite wonderful to enjoy this time
of community while it still lasts, because soon we won’t be living together in
such a close community.  We’ve also had
several very intimate worship times.
This community is definitely becoming family and I’m going to be sad
when we all have to go our separate ways.

I wanted to share
some video’s of us enjoying some good crack while here in Ireland.  I will be posting another blog soon of the
video’s once I can get them uploaded.
