Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, LOOKING TO JESUS, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Over the last few months, my life has been pretty crazy and busy to say the least. I left one job and gained two. I have traveled to Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and various parts of Georgia. I have been given the amazing opportunity to speak in many different churches. I have still been able to stay involved with my church and youth ministry here. Did I mention I've been working two jobs???
In the midst of all of this I have struggled with one main thing……yep, you guessed it….FOCUS!
The next 11 months is one of those things that is really difficult not to focus on. I know God has such amazing plans for this next year! But I don't need to focus just on the Race. The part of the verses above that has been getting me the most is "looking to Jesus". I don't need to be focusing on the Race or fundraising or making sure to see friends/family before I leave or anything else that I am tempted to focus on. I need to be focusing on Jesus. He alone will take care of all of that other stuff.
So, instead of focusing on a ton of different little things, I choose to focus on the ONE and ONLY, JESUS CHRIST! He will take care of any preparations or anything else that I need. I just need to look to Him.

Be honest with yourself and God and give it up to Him.
Focus on Him and He will take care of whatever it is that is worrying you.
