These are some verses that God has been teaching me a lot through this week. I pray that He shows you something through them as well.

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by ACTION, is dead.     James 2:17

We all must take the first step in putting our faith and trust in Christ. But, after that moment it is time for us to act on that faith and share it with others. Our faith should drive us to action for the cause of Christ.

Therefore, preparing your minds for ACTION, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:13

God is going to move in our lives. We need to go ahead and prepare ourselves for it and let Him work. We just need to stay focused on Him and He will do mighty things.

You see that his faith and his ACTIONS were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. James 2:22

This verse is referencing Abraham offering his son Isaac as a sacrifice. Abraham had amazing faith, but it was at that moment that his actions proved how much faith he had. Later in verse 24 it says, "You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone."

Our beliefs and our actions should both be pointing to Christ. God has called us to act on our faith, not just stay in our comfort zones. Are you willing to step out and act on your faith? Will you take action with me?

Here are just a couple ways that you can partner with me and take action for your faith:

  1. PRAY! I need a dedicated team of prayer warriors for this journey.
  2. GIVE! I need people willing to donate monthly or one-time. Every gift makes a difference!

I leave you with this quote from one of my former youth pastors:

"Your talk talks, and your walk walks. But does your walk talk louder than your talk talks?"
