…..one week
The time has finally come. Not even a year ago did I decide to sign up to do the World Race and now I’m only a week out. I have been blessed beyond understanding with my team of lovely (seriously beautiful) ladies.

In my time before I leave I have been worried, probably because I have had free time to think about everything under the sun. In these moments when I’m overwhelmed and stressed I say a prayer and then immediately I think of my team. These amazing Godly women. It immediately calms me. To think about all the things we will see God do in our time together, and all the adventures we will go on. God hand picked my new little family because he knew that we needed each other. Doing life and community with them isn’t scary for me.
When we were at training camp we had a couple days worth of team building exercises to see what teams would fit well together. Before any final decisions were made all of our leaders prayed about were God wanted each of us. When our group got together for the final exercise we were all beyond excited. We clicked in more ways than one. Three of the girls on my team have some type of food allergy and I am sensitive to certain foods. All of us were worried about the accommodations but God provided us with each other to lean on and support each other in this obstacle.

God’s hand is on this group and in one week we will be reunited. Our first stop is Bogota, Colombia were we will be helping a local ministry.
