Wow.

At this time, exactly two weeks from now, I will be a Kellam High School alumni. What a crazy thing to think about. For the longest time it felt like high school would never end, and now, all of a sudden it’s over. No more High School football games, musicals, cheerleading competitions or fashion shows. Prom is over, AP exams are over, and seniority’s is hitting everyone harder than ever.

I had one of the best high school experiences I could have asked for- I wouldn’t change it for the world. The friends I’ve made, the teachers I’ve had and the experiences that I’ve been able to be a part of are things I’ll never forget.

But I’m ready to make this next step. Start the next chapter.

I am so ready to go out and travel the world for the glory of our good, good Father.

So here are a few updates!

  • T-shirts HAVE BEEN ORDERED!!!! (woohooo!!!!!) I will let you know as soon as I know anything about the date they’ll be arriving.
  • Threads of Hope has been doing AMAZING! Thank you so much for all of the support! Thanks to all of you I have been able to write a $258 check to the families in the Philippines who made the beautiful bracelets, as well as to my account! I will continue to sell these, so if you’d like some, please let me know!
  • Last week, I did a Parent Night Out and it did amazing as well! In three hours I was able to raise $140 for my trip! Thank you so much to all of the families that participated last weekend and I hope to see y’all again tonight!

Right now, am about 16% fundraised, with $2,209 in my account at this very minute. I am so thankful for everyone’s support thus far, however I still have a LOT of work to do! By July 22, I need to have doubled that amount to meet my first fundraising goal of $5,000.

The reality is that I can’t do this alone- it is going to take a lot of people and help, both prayerfully and financially. With everyone’s help, I know that the Lord will provide!

Think of it this way- if one person or family donated $100 every day from today until graduation (Saturday, June 18th ), I could have another $1,400 in my account, putting me ¾ of the way to my goal! If TWO people donated $100 every day until graduation, I would be passed my first deadline!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider donating, as well as continuing to pray for the hearts of my team and I as we prepare for this journey!

THANK YOU soooooo much for all of your support so far!

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to talk about the trip or life in general! I would also love for you to tell me how my team and I can be praying for YOU!

Xoxo,

 Hayds
