the months of 2017 and what I learned along the way.
JANUARY.
you can still drive with the windows down in the middle of winter.
cereal is always better with friends.
FEBRUARY.
the wind blows completely out of control. life often seems to do the same.
MARCH.
Jesus made this world for us to behold.
from Costa Rica to Colorado, the perfect Artist’s portfolio is pretty sweet.
APRIL.
I am not cut out to be a cowgirl.
life moves way faster than I ever expected it to.
MAY.
graduation is seriously one of the best days of high school.
musicals have the ability to make you cry harder than you knew you could.
JUNE.
running races is way better in the dark.
squeeze your dogs and your friends real tight all the time.
JULY.
moving is hard, but all seasons must come to an end.
12 years didn’t nearly seem like long enough in my home.
drive in movies make it feel like the 50s.
AUGUST.
eventually you have to say goodbye to your best friends when you go different places.
soak in all the moments before then.
SEPTEMBER.
Jesus calls me deeper.
deeper into His Word. deeper into His grace. deeper into intimacy with Him.
OCTOBER.
every moment is a chance to be Jesus to someone else.
our Father walks hand in hand with us through the mundane.
NOVEMBER.
this world is entirely extraordinary.
the ultimate purpose of my life is to worship the One who created me.
there is nothing He desires more than us. all of us.
DECEMBER.
change comes when you least expect it, but Jesus is never surprised.
celebrate every day like it is a holiday.
pray bold prayers. ones you may never see come to pass, but have the faith that they will.
I laid in bed last night, after watching fireworks and lanterns light up the Thailand sky, and thanked Jesus for this year. 2017 was genuinely the best year of my life.
it was full of big moments. graduating high school. moving out of the house I lived in for 12 years. leaving Arkansas to experience Jesus in Colombia, Ecuador, Thailand. becoming fully funded!!!
but it was also full of small moments. hugging my mom. holding children’s hands. smiling at strangers. eating snacks with my friends. making music videos. walking down dirt roads and busy thai streets.
those small moments are some of my very favorite.
this life is truly magic. happy new year!!!
