Hey yall! I am so excited to participate in our next mission to Ghana! Heres a little bit about me, my background, and my calling as a Missionary. My mission in life is to live, exude and communicate God’s word to others in order to support and inspire them to become the best versions of themselves and help them rise out of their current situations by all means possible. And my vision is to fulfill The Great Commission- which is my ultimate calling as a Christian. So I can, therefore, be a part of cultivating a world where EVERY individual has their basic needs met and rights such as justice, equality, and respect. So they can, in turn, glorify, worship, and exude the glory of Christ. I am currently attending Texas A&M- Corpus Christi as a junior, working towards my BBA in Business Administration with a Minor in International Business. When I am not working or in class, I enjoy teaching myself French, practicing Opera and fellowshipping with my friends and others! I am relatively new to my faith I truly found God about 6 years ago in my Freshman year of Highschool.  I grew up in a Christian home with Christian values and knew the basic meaning of The Gospel and who Jesus was but I never knew what it really means to be a Christian and what God’s love and glory truly felt like. But in 2015 I dove in headfirst after a friend took me to her church and knowing my current habits were not rendering any positive results in my life. I surrounded myself with supportive, God-loving friends. I attended life group every week, church every Sunday, and I finally began to feel successful and supported. Each day I began to lean on God more and more asking him why I was here and how I could serve Him. Continuing to lean and lean and lean on God, aching every day to know and hear from him, envelop myself in His love and just know more about my Savior. My journey in building a relationship with God was certainly not an easy one, but each time I began to linger from Him yet another reminder of His glory would refocus my faith. Eventually, through Gods grace, I was saved and baptized during my sophomore year of high school. That next year, in my junior year of high school, I walked into my church’s sanctuary and saw an announcement about a mission trip to Peru in that summer of 2017. At this moment God metaphorically shook me and I audibly said: “This is me- I’m going.” I knew what my calling was right there at that moment. I was to be an international missionary. Through hours of prayer, tumultuous support, and very hard work, I embarked on my first mission trip into the jungles of Peru in Summer 2017. During the entire trip, there was affirmation after affirmation that this was what I would be doing for the rest of my life. As soon as my team and I landed back in the US I was itching to hop on another plane to another country to continue showing God and his love to everyone by simply helping others. Today, I feel empowered and uplifted daily in God. I make every day a mission to demonstrate God’s love to every person I encounter. All because I have decided to let Jesus led my life and make an effort to be the best version of myself through Him daily. There are still some really hard days in my relationship with God, and in my life in general of course, but focusing on being a dutiful servant, a light for the Lord, and knowing I have a place in his kingdom. My mission and calling is why I leap out of bed every morning and what drives me every day. I am so excited to keep growing in him every day and spreading His word, love, and glory to the world. The verse that helps drive me in my calling is 1 Corinthians 3:7. “So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.” I only hope to continue to spread seeds for the Lord and further the mission/vision He has given to me for the rest of my life.
