Hello Everyone!
I am so excited to introduce to you my very first World Race Blog Post!
My intention is to use this site as an avenue to share the many lessons and stories that the Lord is unfolding before me as I begin this Missionary Journey. This is my way of carrying you along with me as I go out and serve for the nine months I will be away. I will also I be posting on this blog updates on my preparation for launch in September and what the Lord is teaching me during these last sweet months at home with my family and friends.
I want to make a promise to you, my readers that in this space, I will be honest, vulnerable and sincere. This is so those of you who wish to partner with me in prayer, will know my heart and my struggles during this time. The Lord never promised that obedience to Him will be the easiest route to take, but He does promise us His steady hand and provision throughout the process.
I am so grateful for those of you who have been at my side holding me up when I am weak and want to fall. Your constant encouragement and support have truly been the motive that have kept my eyes fixed on truth when it seems so distant to me. I cannot describe the gratitude I feel towards each and every person who has spurred me on with their words of affirmation, their practical advise to me about logistics and what what nine months away from home would require, to my roommates who cheered for me when I got accepted and selflessly gave up their time to film and edit my information video. Thank you to all the many people in my life who, by their kind actions have shown me what it looks like to be Jesus in a busy and distracted world. I have had so many people in my life act as role models and unintentionally provoke me to want to change the world with my own bold kindness. Following their lead, I ask the Lord to use me likewise.
