Hello from Thailand! I arrived a week ago to find out that I am an English teacher to about 180 different 7th graders within 6 different classes. Wow, Jesus has given me quite the challenge. I can’t wait to see how Jesus will use me for the next 6 weeks at Fang Chanupathum School.
He has constantly been reminding me of just how perfectly perfect His plan is for me, just as much as every single other person in the entire world. The other day while I was spending my early morning tea with Him, He gave me this beautiful verse:
For you are people Holy to the LORD. The LORD your God has c h o s e n you to be a people for His treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. Deuteronomy 7:6
He knew it was exactly what I needed, He ALWAYS knows exactly what I need right when I need it, even when I don’t see it. I wish I could put into words right now the outstanding LOVE that I have for my Jesus Christ, the one who chose me! A sinner! I am nothing while He is everything! He desires to be MY very very best friend! To be MY Father!
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 14:24
So right now, I just bask in HIS goodness. HIS love. HIS peace. HIS joy. I gain all of my strength from Him, I rely on Him FULLY.
I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify Him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30
