In my first week of being back on the field with a new set of racers (N Squad). I have spent a lot of time in prayer and thought I’d share some of the things the Lord has been placing on my heart.
Father, you hold us in your hands, we belong to you.
Father, you are gentle and good, don’t let us forget who you are.
Father, help us let go of what we hold onto instead of you.
Let us not cling to expectations and old patterns, but step into the newness of this season.
Father, let us walk in freedom because we know that in you we are free.
Father, let us love as you love. Without fear of rejection, pain, reciprocation or great sacrifice.
Father, let us be still before you as we gaze at your beauty, marvel in your presence and delight in your words.
Father, let us lead others by following you wherever you may go, by being obedient to your gentle voice.
Father, let our hearts stay soft as thoughts run through our heads and experiences try to turn us away from you. Let it never land on our hearts and create a hard exterior separating us from you.
Father, let the opposite be true. Let us stand before you bare, completely vulnerable as you examine the deeper layers of our hearts that you have never touched before.
Father, Let us see you face to face as if you were standing in the room with us.
Father, thank you, Thank you for being our father.
Quick update: This month we are staying on a hillside overlooking the city of Medellin, Colombia and It is GORGEOUS. We are at 3 story compound (1 story being the church) and are working with a pastor named William and his wife Christina for the month. So far we have been taught a kids and adult program full of dancing, singing and skits. We will get to use this when we put on programs in different places nearby, throughout the month to share the Gospel with people. We will also do prison ministry, and I am sure many other things throughout the month.
I will keep you updated as the month goes on!
Thanks for taking time out of your day to read this post! ??
