This may sound a tad ridiculous, be it that I have been in the States for 4 days thus far, but I am in the process of signing up for a 6-day trip to Haiti in March a few days before my 25th birthday. This trip falls under the "Haiti Relief Trip" under AIM's trips and even before this year's disasters, I (along with my good friend and musician Hillary McBride) helped in organizing a benefit concert in Nashville last fall to help orphans. I will be support raising shortly for this trip and am excited to see what I can do and where I can–as well as (for an extra bonus) bring food seeds for the locals.
I have started to do some research on the soils and agricultural composition of this small country and will soon be asking local churches and garden clubs to donate seeds such as carrots, green peas, and potatoes to give to the Haitians.
