This week has been a bit hectic–from settling our tents in at Faith Bible College to assisting in the administrative side of the YWAM Jubilee and Call2All conferences to daily IHOP sessions at our church (Change Point) to painting and renovating at Change Point to bonding with the teams to getting plugged in with locals to being blessed by our contacts through family meals to exploring a nearby waterfall.

I am a tad tired–but in a “good” sense. We have worked hard and have learned a lot and have felt connected to our church and its community. There is something unique about ‘giving back’ and ‘getting’ a lot more in return than expected. Or imagined. Like a history lesson in Tarunga’s history or lasagna dinner with the pastor and his wife. Or pears and plums that grow in a mini-orchard on the church’s grounds. Or this afternoon’s exploration and enjoyment of a waterfall. It was only after I jumped off the cliff that I felt like I was in New Zealand–before then, it has felt like California here with the palm trees, rolling hills, sun-drenched people, and relaxed environment.

Despite all this, what we have started this week is but the beginning to our ministry here. We are here until the 30th and the conferences start up on Sunday, but our tasks continue on Saturday through the 22nd or 23rd. We are about to start 10-12 hour days of ministry and while I am beyond excited, I am also physically tired just thinking about it all. I enjoy tenting more than I can say, but I do not tend to sleep as well in contrast to my bed back in Nashville, BUT I am NOT complaining. I love that God chose me to be here and serve.
