…hot water, no bed, no worries?
That is soon to be discovered!
The more I pray, think, talk, and raise support–the more excited I am to be a part of this 11-month and 11-country missions adventure.
It isn’t as though I am ‘taking off’ a year to travel.
No, no…not at all.
As I sit comfortably in my apartment, typing away at my old Mac, enjoying the a/c, and Bono on the iPod, I am excited to live in my tent for nearly a year. It seems so…faraway…so exciting…so ideal because of my love of the outdoors.
Yet, I have a feeling that I will be in Uganda in July and be thinking about my comfy bed and clean linens. Oh and hot water.
The little things that I barely worry about now are going to be desires in just a few months, but I am willing AND wanting to sacrifice this in order to serve, love, and work where God calls my team and I.
I am also excited to not wear jeans for nearly a year. I kindof despise jeans. That and makeup, too! This is superficial of me and it is not as though I wear much of it already, but to be rid of it for nearly a year makes me a happy camper–pun intended for all of you who know how much I enjoy camping. 🙂
