Once again, it’s the littlest things that encourage change in my life. Such as grocery shopping for my team of six. I was assigned the responsibility to plan meals and grocery shop for us as we venture around the world this year. Which is a privilege for me to serve these missionaries-turned sisters, although it is a tad stressful.
This responsibility corresponds well with my organizational and detail-oriented skills as I plan and compare prices like it’s my job (from the very smallest details like cost per gram and kilogram here in New Zealand.) I also enjoy grocery shopping in the States because it gives me a chance to take a breath, pray, and meet new people. The same rings true as I scoot around Woolsworth and CountDown with my trolley (not ‘buggy’ or ‘grocery cart.’)
