I have been blessed with a new friend here at the YWAM/Youth Ministries base camp in Matamata. Her name is Claire and she is a marine biologist-turned chef for missionaries here in Crystal Springs. Her joy and love for others is more than obvious when I first saw her tucked away in the kitchen, stirring away, preparing anoher wonderful meal for all 100+ of us. I desire to be more like her–her relentless giving spirit and intelligence is something that I strive for in my life, but little by little, God is showing me that I can strive all I want or am capable of, but He is the only one truly capable of changing my perspective, heart, and life.
Which is what I want.
And need.
Desperately need.
Claire’s friendship has helped spur me on in this direction and the heavens are the limit as far as I can tell.
