Since
my childhood, I have relished such architectually-breathtaking places
as the Pyramids,
Macchu Pichu, Easter
Island
, and Angkor Wat. While I am still fascinated by each location, my perspective has changed.

Additionally, after my visit to Angkor Wat this past Saturday, I
realize how much more I value God-made creations…

For as long as I can remember, I have relished trees, mountains, bodies of water, and the skies above as more than ‘creation,’ but as a cathedral or temple of sorts–but not to a ‘god’ made of stone or clothed in flesh. While I enjoyed touring Angkor Wat more than I can say, I now value God’s temple–which is neither limited by size (Angkor Wat is over 60 square miles) nor beauty. For as beautiful and awe-inspiring as Angkor Wat is–NOTHING can compare to the intricate design of solar systems, the tide’s connection to the moon, the massive growth of Redwood trees, the aroma of a rose, and the sparkle in a human’s eye. We are, just like the heavens above, a ‘temple’ of God. While Angkor Wat is a finite temple for Buddha, we are infinite temples of the Spirit, which 1 Corinthians 6:19 boldly attests to. Knowing this, some things are about to change in my life.

What about you?  Knowing that you are a temple of the Spirit, how will you now live?
