For the past 20ish days I’ve been attacked by the devil. He doesn’t want me to be here. He doesn’t want me to do the amazing work God has called me to do.

I’m threatening the devil’s (stupid) purpose for me by being here and doing what I’m doing. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy and that’s just what he’s up to here in Guatemala y’all!

Almost everyone on my team has been down for the count when it comes to sickness or injury. I’ve been down for both injury and sickness. There is always something going on for one of us.

We all have two options though.

We can sit and pout and say, “I’m sick or injured! I can’t do any ministry!” Or we can stand up, push through and say, “Not today Satan! Neither sickness not injury will hold me back from God‘s plan for me here!”

I’m going to be completely honest. I’ve been mostly on the side of being sick and not thinking I can do much. I have forgotten that God is so much bigger than sickness or injury! How did I let myself forget that? After God healed my gluten allergy?? It’s so easy to forget things I guess…

I have a parasite in my body. It’s a hard thing to deal with. It keeps me from wanting to eat and makes me extremely tired and feel very sick. It’s not fun at all. However, because I know God’s power and He can and is willing to heal my body yet again! He did it once and He can do it again! I know He has healed me and removed the parasite!

I started out in the, “I feel sick and don’t think I can do anything productive in ministry.” But I sure as heck am not ending on that note! God is so much bigger than a stupid parasite!

When I mentioned I’ve been down for the count both with sickness and injury, I had injured my back a few weeks ago and couldn’t move without pain shooting through my body. It was terrible. I’m fine now! Thanks to God!

So, just like my back pain didn’t hold me down, this parasite won’t hold me down! In the name of Jesus! Devil, not today! Not ever!

Thanks for reading, this was a last minute blog! On a powerful side note, go check out my squad mates blog! She wrote a blog about my story and it’s very good! It about brought me to tears!
