This is a question everyone keeps asking me. After Lake Junaluska (a camp me and my youth attended) I knew I wanted to do more with my relationship with Christ. I prayed and prayed asking God “what can I do?” I heard about the World Race through my youth group and my community. I then began to do some research and I came upon the Costa Rica semester trip. I knew this trip was perfect for me. We would be working in children’s ministry, prayer ministry, evangelism, and improvement projects. Everything that I wanted to experience more of. All of this started lining up with my plans, fitting in to my future so perfectly. It was only for a month meaning I would still be able to attend college come fall. However, I kept putting off completing my application for a little while because I just didn’t feel like I had the support I needed. One night I was just laying in my bed watching some YouTube (like most teenagers) and I just felt a need to do it. That’s when I began to finish my application. Come the next few days without telling anyone that I finally completed my application. God spoke to me in so many ways; in class my teacher would randomly start talking about missions she’s done and how she recommends it to then going to church and the pastor speaking about missions. That’s when I knew that I had made the best choice for my path. I’m still astonished and overcome with joy that I have been given this opportunity. I can’t wait to share Jesus with all of the Lord’s people in Costa Rica.

P.S. this is a picture of my youth group in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina <3 God was all around us here!!
