Story time! I have a lot of people who have supported me either financially or in prayer,  and I get the privilege of hearing many stories about how God is working through those individuals. There’s one in particular I’d like to share with you about a girl from Texas. A while back I made a post about collecting aluminum cans for the race. TaLeah who just turned 10 years old heard about what I was doing and got busy! She started seeing cans along the side of the road and picking them up on her bike, she also tried to take cans home from school (her teachers didn’t appreciate that one). She has become a self proclaimed “dumpster diver”. The coolest part is she wants to be a missionary when she grows up! How awesome is that? You are NEVER too young or too old for God to use you! Stories like these are a huge encouragement to me because I can’t always see what God is doing but then someone shares a story like this, and I get super excited!

PRAYER REQUESTS- God’s provision. I need to remind myself that God will provide, and I just need to let him do his thing and stay out of the way. I’m scared- the reality of this trip has really hit me. Realizing how much I am going to see and experience, how much God is going to change me and use me, and push me outside my comfort zone.

JAR FUNDRAISER- I am looking for 11 people to pick a country and adopt a jar! You can fill the jar with prayers, cash, checks, notes–anything helps! It’s a great way to use your own social circle to help fill the jar, and I’ll send you a post card from whatever country you pick while I am overseas!

GO RINGS-Only 10 more days to order jewelry from Go Rings!

PRAISES- ONLY 828 DOLLARS AWAY FROM 10,000!!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!  I’ve gotten a whole bunch of donated gear! Everything from a tent and sleeping bag to a hammock and water bladder. The only thing I have had to buy was my backpack, sleeping pad and hiking boots, but it was all bought with cash donated specifically for gear! It’s crazy how God provides!
