I have a lot of exciting news.
1. I have spent the past week in Gainesville, Georgia training for team leading with 40 other leaders who are heading all over the world to disciple racers on the field.
I have had such a good time spending my days with people I really love being around and share my passion for people, missions, and Jesus. Days have been filled with hours of teachings, scenarios, snacks, laughing, and excitement for each of our squads to get here. I feel prepared and ready to get to Guatemala with my squad and start the 3 months I have been thinking about since February!
2. I am fully funded for my 3 months in Guatemala with Gap T!
There’s something so satisfying about being completely financially ready before starting a journey. I am extremely thankful for the friends, family, and strangers who felt the urge to support me. It’s such a joy to have support and know that I am doing what I’m meant to do.
The past week I’ve felt an overwhelming joy of this life I get to live- being trained in how to communicate and lead people. So to all of you who got me here so generously- THANK YOU! I literally would not be here without you. I’m extremely humbled.
Tomorrow my leadership team drives into Atlanta, Georgia to get to the hotel that our racers will arrive at this weekend and get training before flying all over the world next Wednesday.
My heart is so excited to go, but I’ve also spent all year at home with my family- digging deep roots into my relationships at home. That honestly makes this the first time I’m deeply sad to leave home, which I have seen as such a gift. It’s also humbled me to believe that God still does a good work even when I’m not there. But, my heart is so ready to see what’s next.
I can’t even believe it’s here and that I get to see my racers so soon!! AHH.
The journey has just begun- LET’S DO IT.
