Around the beginning of the fall semester, I began to pray and search out what my plans were going to be for this summer. I found so many different opportunities. I saw probably about 20 different summer camp jobs, lots of different internships, and plenty of great job opportunities. Then I came across the world race semesters but it was only offered at the time during the spring semester, so I just tried to forget about it and applied to tons of other things. But I just could not forget about the World Race. One day the Lord brought me back to the world race website and I learned that they did have a summer program. I just kept shoving the world race to the back of my mind because it wouldn’t look as good as the cool new internship. Then I began to do a study on Jonah. Jonah had tons of success as a prophet in Israel where he was. But when the Lord told him to go he ran in the opposite direction. Reading over this study one morning the Lord showed me this is what I had been doing. This mission trip was where the Lord was commanding me to go but I was as a boat to Tarshish. I am so grateful the Lord has chosen me to go on this journey with Him and can’t wait to share His Kingdom Stories with you as we go.
