You know how Jesus says He will do and give “abundantly more than we could ask or imagine…”?
He wasn’t joking.

A year ago, at this time, I started the daunting task of fundraising.
Raising 18 thousand and 2 hundred dollars sounded like the scariest thing.
How was I, a gal from North Carolina, going to convince people that what I was doing was worth supporting?

Funny thing here.
Fundraising has nothing to do with what I am doing.
And He showed me that ask I spoke with people and shared my heart.

I would share about what He was calling me to do, and people’s hearts would be moved.
Not by my willingness or by what I was going to do, but simply by the faithfulness of the Father and His intentionality in asking us to follow him boldly.

He really is good. At the core of who He is.

At the end of November, our squad prayed over one another and declared that we would all be fully funded by the end of December.
When December 31 rolled around and I lacked a little, I didn’t lose faith.
I know this is where I am supposed to be.
I knew He would provide.

THAT NIGHT, my phone lit up with e-mail after e-mail with donations of 100, 500, 50, 25, 200.
One after another rolled in. He was keeping His promise.
I’ve never left his hands.
I was a short amount from being fully funded, and so my Dad mentioned at his church that I had a short amount to go.

The congregation at my dad’s church gave willingly and generously, and y’all – I am MORE than fully funded.
Not only does my profile reflect 18,002 dollars (hehe Jesus is funny), but men and women from my dad’s church obediently gave — which hasn’t even been donated yet!
The Lord gave ABUNDANTLY more than I could ask or imagine.
He brought me to fully funded, and then some.

I was praying over what I could do with this extra money, because the Father nudged those people to give, and they obeyed.
So, here’s what I have decided.

There are teammates and squad mates of mine that are not yet fully funded.
(Here are their profiles, if you feel called to support them – Allie, Hannah Grace, Mallory, Sarah, Cami, Suze, Brook, AbbyLin, Dan, Jezie, Maggie, Oscar, Courtney, Sara, and one of our incredible squad leaders, Jenny).
So, I have decided that I will donate a fixed amount to all of these incredible people that aren’t quite fully funded, believing that the Father will bless and multiply it, and they WILL be fully funded and WILL get to stay on the field.
And with the rest, I will get to bless people around the world with small acts of kindness.

Yesterday, we worked at a boys home, filled with young boys who don’t have a healthy home life to live in.
As we were eating lunch, the Lord nudged me to walk to the tienda (small store) and get the boys a treat.

I walked down the street and grabbed them some Coca Cola and chocolate wafers.
After an intense game of soccer, we had a little refreshment, and I introduced them to ‘dessert’ 🙂

One of the boys was so confused and appreciative that our team gifted them this small treat.
We so take things for granted.
A candy bar.
A cup of soda. The ability to buy things.
I got to bless them with this small act of kindness and share a sweet moment of love with them.

It’s not me, it’s not our team, it’s totally the Father.

This is how He loves us, He gives us gifts that we are simply confused about.
You want to give this to me?
You want me to be fully funded and stay here?
THANK YOU, Jesus.

I’m blown away.
He used y’all to support me and walk me into the rest of the race.

7 more months.
I’m seeing the fruit of the Lord in so many ways, and y’all are a part of that.
Seriously, thank you.

I will keep you sweet individuals updated on how the Lord blesses people here.
For now, I am gonna drink this Dulce de Leche latte and just reflect on how faithful He truly is.

All my love and more,
Hannah Beth
