WOW! We are officially only a couple hours away from jumping on a plane and heading to Panama. I’ve said goodbye to friends and family for the next year, packed up everything I own into a 50lb pack and a 15lb day pack, and am mentally prepping myself to live in 11 different cultures in the next 11 months. Anyone have any tips on how to do that??

I thought it would be fun to go around and ask my squadmates how they’re feeling right now. So here are K Squad thoughts from the ATL airport, hours away from the journey of a lifetime. (You can find a link to all of their blogs at https://www.worldrace.org/?tab=participants&group=18W0803 )

Carsyn: I am anxiously excited about starting this amazing adventure with these amazing people and to see how our amazing God pours into us!

Mikayla: I am ready to go! I’m ready to dive into all that God has in store for us. It’s going to be wild. Woah.

Amanda: so nervous but also I could burst at any moment with the reality of what the Lord has entrusted us with. I am blown away with His love and cannot wait to share it with my squad and everyone we meet

Michael: I am excited, nervous, and eager to learn what God is going to do in my life and through my life to those around me this next year.

Dylan: I feel ready yet nervous because it is all happening like officially happening. Its been 2 years in the making and I cannot wait to see what God does in me and through me this next year and for the rest of my life.

Kayla: I feel terrified, but excited at the same time.  There has been so much prayer and preparation up to this point and I can’t believe it’s finally here.  I am so excited to journey with God over this next 11 months and see what He’s going to do in and through me.

Karrie: I am feeling anxious. It’s been a long journey already fundraising and preparing for the World Race. Now it’s finally happening!

Zach Davis: I am feeling reflective in my time here in America. It feels as though so much time and energy has been put into this and it all comes down to this.

Amber LaChappelle: I feel ready for this journey that God has called me on. I’m ready to step out in faith, total obedience and am super excited to see what He has in store!

Rachel Morris: I am PUMPED to start this journey with all of these people God has placed to surround and support me. Let’s go!

Crystal Dunbar: I’m excited for this new journey and being able to love on the different communities all around the world.

Emma Williams: I’m feeling sad to be honest – today is actually my dad’s birthday so I’m sad that I can’t be with him, but God is good and I am ready to be in Panama living the way Jesus did!

Mary Korch: I’ve never left the country before- so I’m excited to leave! I also LOVE traveling in community with my squad!

Hannah Neel: I cannot believe the day is finally here. I’m excited and scared out of my mind all at the same time, but the overall feeling is one of anticipation for how the Lord is going to change lives in the next 11 months. Thanks for coming on this journey for me!
