Three Major Announcements!

1) WOW THANK YOU!! Because you guys are absolutely wonderful and the Lord is so faithful, I am officially halfway funded! Thank you so much! I can’t believe we are at this point – I honestly didn’t know if this day would ever come. We are fundraising a lot of money, but our Lord is so much bigger! And he’s shown me that every day during the six months that I have been fundraising!

2) Today I received a more detailed description of what my team and I will be doing in Panama! Take a look at the description from my squad leader:

You will be working with [names are hidden for safety] as your hosts. They are some of my favorite people in Central America and they LOVE teams. Get ready to be totally loved on!! Their heart is the indigenous church and [name] does a lot of work with deaf ministry. They also are working on teaching computer coding as a resource for kids to get jobs in the future. You will probably be doing a lot of kids ministry, teaching English or other skills, maybe some manual labor projects, and hopefully helping with the recent church plant that they launched.

This gets me SO excited! I have spent all summer babysitting and loving on kids so I cannot wait to continue doing that in August!

3) Because I have just a few more days to reach the $10,000 deadline and to go ahead prepare for the upcoming $13,000 deadline in October, I have started a new fundraiser called adopt-a-box! You can pick a number that has some significance to you – your age, children’s ages, high school jersey number, or just your favorite number – let me know what that number (or numbers) are, donate that amount on my blog or here, and then that box is all yours! I’ll color it in for you and you’ll get a royalty any time someone uses that number! (sorry I wish that last part was true) but you will know in your heart that box is forever yours 🙂

Here’s an updated photo of the boxes:

Thanks for joining me on this crazy journey so far! I hope you’ll continue to join by subscribing to this blog and staying in touch! Thankful for you!
