
Hi Friends, Family, Supporters & Encouragers!
Quite a few of you have reached out asking about recordings from my recent yoga classes. My plan is to eventually have them all on a platform on my website, but for now I have been using Zoom to record the live classes. As supporters, prayer warriors, friends and family, I would love to share these with you!
Last week I hosted my first Wednesday Mid-Week Christian Meditation, Mindfulness & Movement live class at 7 pm CST.
The meditation was about the struggle of Job (which I’m sure we can all relate to right now). The story of Job gets at the heart of an age old question:
Why do bad things happen to good people?
During our meditation, we reflected on the story of Job, and really focused on the verses below, as I taught the class how to use a breathing technique to combat stress:
“As long as my breath is in me,
and the spirit of God is in my nostrils,
my lips will not speak falsehood,
and my tongue will not utter deceit.”
– Job 27:3-4
Job was a good guy that bad things happened to. He wrestled with God about it. But in the end, he was reminded that God knows far more about creation than Job could ever comprehend. Job was reminded that God is God and that He has a plan for everything – and He cares about even the smallest of details. That includes you too.
Like Job:
It’s OK to question God.
It’s OK to be angry.
It’s OK to not understand.
But what falsehoods have you been telling yourself? What truths do you need to remember???
In our meditation, we identified those falsehoods and replaced them with truth. I’d like to invite you to do the same today.
Take a Moment – Take a Deep Breath – And Remember What is True.
Keep going back to those truths, and even say them out loud – and notice the difference in how you feel and how you go about your day.
