Sometimes it doesn’t even feel real that I will be going to Thailand after I graduate. A lot of times it just feels like a distant dream. But just as this semester is passing away quickly and is almost over, I know Thailand is right around the corner and will be here within a blink of an eye!
At the moment I am busy. This semester has consistently stayed busy. From being a student that is taking 18 hours and trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, to being a resident assistant and president of a wonderful social club, to being a friend and having a social life, while also trying to make quality time for family, I have found it hard to focus on and to make time for the mission that awaits me just down the road.
I am so excited for Thailand. I know that the two months I will spend there should not be taken lightly. God is giving me an opportunity to share his word with people I have never met, in a country that I’ve never been to and amongst a culture that is far from anything I’ve ever known. I want to be prepared. I want my heart and my mind to be in the right place and to be prepared to do the beautiful work He is calling me to do.
My prayer for myself and for my team is that the Lord will prepare our hearts right now. That he will prepare them as we are still in America and that we will be on mission right where we are, right here and right now.
So I ask for prayers for my heart! I ask that you will all pray that the Lord will shape me, guide me, teach me, prepare me, and counsel me in all ways that I need to be ready to go to Thailand and to be his hands and his feet!
Blessings to all.
Hannah (:
