This is our daily mode of transportation. No seat belts, we just have to hold onto the bars.

This was on our way back from our first day of ministry. Its a 2 hour truck ride there and back so we made a stop to look at the lake.

This is our daily view during meals.

Sometimes we stand in the truck and look out the front. El Salvador is beautiful.

We were drinking hot chocolate, but not the kind we are used to. This is just straight chocolate.

At first I missed my mouth with the straw and it went in my nose. So naturally I’m laughing at myself.

Who’s surprised that I found a baby?!?! Enrique is so cuddly.

At Puerta del Diablo (The Devil’s Door)

At The Devil’s Door

One morning on our way to ministry we stopped at a shrimp farm and it had some incredible views.

This is on top of a mountain at The Devil’s Door. There was a lot of fog so it felt like we were in the clouds.

My very first coconut.

At the shrimp farm with my team and Allison, our squad leader.

As we are winding down on our month in El Salvador, I wanted to share some pictures with all of you. It’s been an incredible first month and I’m already starting to wonder how we are supposed to leave all of the people we have already met. We’ve already seen the Lord working in ourselves, our team, and the people of El Salvador, I can’t even imagine what that is going to look like by month 11. It’s amazing how the people of El Salvador portray Christ with their servant hearts and joyful laughs no matter their circumstances. It is slowly becoming more and more evident that it is incredibly easy to be happy even with the barest of minimum as long as you have God in your heart.

Love,

Hannah
