My feet have been in some interesting places this week. Some old, some new. My feet have been shoved under the seats of three airplanes. They have been cramped with many other feet on a chicken bus. They have walked the cobblestone streets of Antigua. They have rode in the back of a pick up truck full of frozen plantains. They have touched the soft green grass at the base. And at the end of the day they hurt from playing soccer and they enjoy the comfort of my colorful Guatemalan blanket at bed time.

Before I launched for the race, I got this same word from two different people who are very near and dear to my heart.

Romans 10:14-15

14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

My first thought was, “How can feet be beautiful? They are FEET!”

But I realized God made my feel for His purpose for my life! Of course my feet are beautiful in His eyes!

I know my feet aren’t equipped for what I am doing right now but the beauty is that they don’t have to be. God called my feet to come here and do this, so I did. He will lead me and all I have to do is depend on Him. I am so grateful God led my squadmates’ feet here too. I am so grateful God is leading YOUR feet!! I encourage you to look around and be present where God has you right now in this moment. He will take you to some crazy places if we just listen! Maybe to guatemala, maybe to walmart.

Thank you for walking with me.

Peace and Blessings,

Hannah Keller

Top things I have learned so far while living in Guatemala:

  • There’s always room to squish in the chicken bus

  • Lycee fruit is BIG YUM (I got 20 fruits for less than a dollar (5Q))

  • You can tell which tortillas were made by the gringas because they are irregularly shaped

  • Spontaneous worship is the best type of worship

  • Guatemalan coffee is super good

  • Being intentional is the key to life

  • I have a lot more to learn 🙂

MUCH LOVE FROM GUATEMALA !!!
