Feeling voiceless is a constant push and pull. In the words of Dead Poets Society, it is like a blanket that is just too short. You can pull it up to your head and your feet are exposed. You can cover one end, but never the other. That blanket’s purpose it to cover that person, but it always comes up short. It can never be enough for that person.
I was tied to my significant other and felt I couldn’t escape. I was never able to walk in freedom as the Lord had for me, but always on the edge.
The Holy Spirit is living and active. He is inside me, guiding me, and giving the wisdom to learn from scripture. Through scripture, I found freedom and purpose. Jesus gave voice to the voiceless, so should I.
In this newfound purpose, I am able to offer freedom to others and encourage them to seek the other that gives them worth.
I am finally walking in the freedom that Christ has offered me and the path is such an adventure. I am going on the World Race to seek out and give voice to the voiceless. Their story matters too.
