.) After trekking for a good portion of the month I realized my pack is way too heavy, therefore I need to abandon more things.
.) I can do the hard things! Like preach a sermon and hike in the Himalayas for a few days.
.) Vulnerability is so important. Hard sometimes, but important. Conquer the fear and be open with people because you never know what God will do through you.
.) Don’t put a period where God puts a comma. He is not done with you yet! He hears your prayers! Its not a no, it may be a not yet.
.) I also learned how vital it is to pray hard and praise Him through it. I realized how I haven’t been praying for my health and how I have given up praising God through that specific area of my life because I didn’t see the results right away.
.) I believed this prior to this month but it was so cool to see a personal story of how God spoke to someone through a dream! He still works signs and wonders y’all!!
.) It’s okay to doubt and have questions about the Bible and your faith – ask the hard questions and dive deep into the word.
.) We need more people to go to the unreached! There are so many people around the world and in the 10/40 window that need to hear the gospel. Ask God how you can be a part of advancing His kingdom back home and around the globe!
.) Its important to always have a willing heart and to be prepared for ministry – I know this may seem like a no brainer, but after 6 months of the World Race sometimes you are not on your game, sick, tired, etc. I have learned that I need to be in tune with the spirit and ready to minister at any time, whether I’m ready/comfortable with it or not.
.) Nepal is actually NOT the coldest country and you don’t need to bring your sleeping bag unless you decide to hike Mt Everest.
.) Mt Everest is BREATHTAKING AND AMAZING! If you are ever in Nepal I advise you to take the mountain flight so you can see Mt Everest and all the other mountains alongside it. SO WORTH IT!
