.) It is so important to encourage and empower one another. Pull people into your mess with you so that they can challenge and speak truth into when times get rough. Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable for a hot second!
.) Fanice is the bomb and best ice cream ever!!!
.) Grace on grace on grace. I learned how to dispense grace to those around me when things didnt go as planned or when people had a moment of humanity.
.) Its okay to say no! Own your decisions. This month was all squad month, therefore, I was surrounded by 35 people, which don’t get me wrong was amazingggg, but it was sometimes hard to be alone or make decisions. I had to stop and really think about what I actually wanted to do or what was important to me and make time for it. If not, there was no time for anything! I definitely learned the importance of boundaries and priorities.
.) Walk in your spiritual gift. It is used to glory God and encourage the body of Christ.
.) Fight for community! It’s worth it.
.) Discipleship is key and so important for new believers. Every church should have a discipleship program and make it a priority to seek out those who are new believers. Don’t let them slip through the cracks!
.) I don’t need to feel bad or apologize that I was born in America.
.) Also, We are truly blessed to be born in America, with so many great opportunities! Don’t take it for granted!
.) The Lord wants to use you in mighty ways; just say yes! Don’t be afraid to step out of your boat and say the word of encouragement to someone or pray with someone because that may be exactly what they need in the moment.
.) I absolutely love spending time with the locals in Ghana and just doing life with them. Washing clothes and cooking with them is definitely a form of ministry!
