11 things I learned in Month 1 // I had such an awesome first month; here are some things I learned!
1.) That time is not money. As Americans we are always running around so busy and it’s important to take a step back and go at a slower pace! Enjoy the little things!!
2.) I am not a huge fan of fish. Like at all.
3.) Evangelism is not that scary!
4.) Americans are very privileged and we should never take that for granted.
5.) If you step out in faith, God will give you the words to say and use you in mighty ways.
6.) Go with the flow – when ministry or plans fall through.. just ask the Lord who He wants you to love and encourage!
7.) I now like soda and crave it. Who knew?!
8.) Jesus has TRULY given us the authority to cast out demons, heal the sick, and deliver people through HIS power; not mine. We are just His vessels.
9.) A 3 year old can do my laundry better than me and it’s ok to let them take over, because then I’ll actually have a greater chance of having clean clothes.
10.) Choose to surrender and dive into community, because it’s the best thing ever! I absolutely with all my heart love my team and I am so blessed to go on this journey with them. God knew what He was doing when He put us all together.
11.) Stay present; but also make sure to take care of yourself. We can’t pour into others and encourage people if we are not spending and getting filled up with our alone time with God.
