In awe.

I sit here at my parents’ home in New Zealand, with so many unknowns and possibilities – and truly the biggest emotion I feel is pure gratitude. Your level of support over the past two years preparing and serving with Adventures in Missions is phenomenal. I literally could not have done it without your prayer, encouragement and financial support (guys – we raised almost $38,000 NZD. come on church).

There is a chance our squad could re group on mission somewhere, sometime to finish this South America trip (as we are all fully funded) once COVID19 calms down. There is also chance we could not, and the 6 weeks we had in Medellin will be all. Either way, I am at peace and trust Adventures in Missions wholeheartedly with those decisions. Time in lockdown gave space for much reflecting, and gratitude continues to loom large in my heart regardless of circumstance.

I write this to thank and honour you in your partnership through Jesus with me.

So much more than financial – as a community, the Lord has truly carried me through you. Your support has enabled so many Kingdom movements across the globe, and in turn has knit me to the Father in powerful ways.

It was you who looked a Colombian friend in the eye and spoke the truth of God’s love for him as he battled.

It was you who held an abandoned baby in an Indonesian refuge centre and prayed life and blessing over her.

It was you who baptised three young adults on a rooftop in Colombia.

It was you who encouraged and prayed for a security guard in South Africa who had lost hope.

It was you who walked for hours in Thailand with a tourist discussing scripture and reconciling his view of God.

It was you who taught the Scriptures and words from Holy Spirit in 22 nations.

It was you who prayed healing for a man in a hut in the Amazon jungle.

It was you who baked a birthday cake for a mother in Botswana who had long since lost a hopeful view of family and community.

It was you who discipled young adults, speaking life and hard truths.

It was you who sat with addicts in Colombia and spoke the love of Jesus in broken Spanish.

It was you who listened and prayed with a tour guide in Thailand who was grieving his family.

It was you who sat with a new Colombian friend through her first church service in years.

Greater than things done, however, is the intimacy of simply being with the Lord that I fostered and taught over this time. Falling more in love with the person of Jesus, drinking deep from the Living Water and calling others to do the same. What an honour. This life of discipleship is applicable, powerful, and essential everywhere. I am in awe and so thankful for the foundation of my time with Adventures in Missions.

Thank you friends.

Thank you for believing in and championing what the Lord called me into.

Thank you for enabling wider participation in His kingdom.

Thank you for forever pointing me closer to Jesus.
