I’m in awe, God is SO good. Fundraising was one of the hardest, most awkward, and uncomfortable things I have done for suuuuure. But simultaneously it was deeply affirming in the midst of doubt, beautifully humbling, and surprisingly freeing! I’ve been in a bit of a daze since the full funding became official and only now have words to put around it. I’m just in awe! And so deeply grateful.

All travel, accommodation, food, and insurance are now covered for the 11 months on this mission trip. And the final deadline isn’t even until April 26th! PRAISE

Receiving is a funny thing. It feels strange to be so firmly supported and encouraged by you all, and now to be on the other side of the world. I want to thank you over a coffee or a meal! To deepen our relationship and pursue vision together. But here I am, a few days until we fly out of America to Cambodia where we begin the Race – the space your generosity has enabled. And I am SO excited! There were many moments of doubting in 2018, but your donations were one of the clearest affirmations of God’s leading to the World Race. I cannot thank you enough! You each were the hands and feet of the Lord, expressing his generous heart towards me. Your financial support enables me to support others, living in my strengths and giftings. It also enables this set-aside year of deeper reliance on the Holy Spirit, learning from the global church/other cultures, and discerning more of the Lord’s call on my life.

So, thank you! For giving, partnering with me, believing, affirming, listening to the Lord, and enabling me on this journey.

Sincerely yours,
A slightly overwhelmed, joyous, and excited Hannah

Update: I’ve spent the last month travelling around the USA and Canada, meeting up with soon-to-be squadmates, and spending treasured time with old friends & family. Missing home already! But this time has been such a blessing. Most of my travel has been by bus and this slow pace has been super relaxing. I’ve done a lot of thinking, reading, processing, and I’m feeling ready to get on the Race.

I fly to San Francisco on Monday, to meet with all 18 members of my squad, and we leave for our first county (Cambodia) on the 8th. We’ll have two weeks of training there, then we begin! More updates to come as we get into it.

Prayer for the following is greatly appreciated:
  • Healthy transition as we all leave the USA
  • Unity amongst us as a squad
  • Deep time of learning and bonding over the training weeks
